Illuminati Motor Works Concept Car – Taking Shape

The guys over at Illuminati Motor Works have uploaded a new video showing how the concept car “Seven” is taking shape. The way they describe the building process it reminds me of the way Ed “Big Daddy” Roth use to build his Show Cars.

Hey, did you know that when you flip a Dodge Viper logo upside down the viper looks like Daffy Duck’s face? Interesting!

Car Logos Over Time

It is interesting to see how logos change over time. I found a site that has a page titled “Car logos evolution“. The page has the changing logos of Mercedes, Renault, Volkswagen, Cadillac, Mitsubushi, Buick, BMW, Ford, Mazda, Fiat, Audi, Alfa Romeo and Peugeot.

The Cadillac logos on the page only covers the actual coat of arms to the first trademarked logo. Here is an image that covers the Cadillac logos form 1902 – 1999. Just this month Cadillac rolled out an updated logo design.

Crashing a 59 Chevy Bel Air into a 09 Chevy Malibu

It hurts to see a classic car getting smashed up but I must admit that when I see crash test videos, I have always wondered how an older car would hold up.

This video was done by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety to celebrate it’s 50th anniversary. They paired up a 1959 Chevrolet Bel Air and a 2009 Chevy Malibu.

If you’re thinking the Bel Air with its size and big chrome bumper will hold its own, get ready for a surprise.

Garage Style Magazine

In the 2009 summer edition of Garage Style Magazine, I am featured as one of the artists in the “UNIQUE Artists” section.

This issue marks the one year anniversary for the magazine.

They feature outstanding examples of state-of-the-art garages as well as other type of garages and shops. They have an article on Roy Brizio’s South San Francisco shop in this issue.

One of the articles I enjoyed was about Corky Coker and how he started Coker Tire Company. They also have automobile reviews, book reviews, a buyer’s guide, and much more.

You can see an index of the current issue online along with a few sample PDFs for you to download.
