I have just finished adding the 1949 Cadillac Hood Ornament artwork to my site. In a few earlier posts, I showed you a line work example and then later a sample of the artwork just before sending off for a color proof. The finished artwork comes in a big 20″ x 20″ size.

TATA Nano in Sunshine Yellow
This is a new color version of the custom TATA Nano I did earlier.
I posted the custom Nano artwork images in my Flickr account and someone commented that they were planning on buying one and was curious to see how the custom black/orange version would look in sunshine yellow instead of the orange. Sunshine yellow is one of the Nano’s factory colors.
In the majority of my artwork I use many different fades, so changing colors is not so easy. But on the Nano artwork I only used two fades to make up the orange, which made changing the colors easier.
That being the case, I did one up for them to see. What do you like best, the sunshine yellow version or the orange version?

Can you tell what this hood ornament goes on?
Vintage Speed Decals
Do you like vintage speed decals as much as I do? I came across this posting called “The logos of Speed & Power” by Ryan at JalopyJornal.com. In the posting Ryan laid out 69 of his favorite old logos.
But the fun doesn’t stop there. If you go to the bottom of the page and click “Comments on the H.A.M.B.” you will see even more logos posted by members of the H.A.M.B.
Whether you are an automotive artist or a graphic designer these logos are a great source of logo reference and inspiration.
If you know of any other places to see logos like these please add it in the comments or contact me.
