Interesting video about the art involved in creating the Bugatti L’or Blanc. They talk about using porcelain and my first thoughts were about it breaking plus the daily wear, but they cover that later in the video.

Yesterday I uploaded my new website. This new website is built with WordPress and it uses the TwentyTen default template.
When I think of car chase scenes, the Steve McQueen/Bullitt chase scene is by far my favorite. Interestingly the driver of the Dodge Charger was Bill Hickman. Bill not only drove the Charger and was one of the hitman in the movie, but he also helped with the chase scene choreography. To find out more about Bill see this article “Why Bill Hickman is Hollywood’s greatest ever stunt driver.“
And if you haven’t seen it already, Greg Laurie did a book titled “Steve McQueen: The Salvation of an American Icon” which gave me a lot of insight on Steve that I haven’t read anywhere else, it is definitely worth it.

This is finished art of a Hudson car logo. In a previous post I wrote that I was so focused on getting a good up-close photograph of this logo that I forgot to make a note about the car.

After some research on different Hudson models I think the car was a 1953 Hudson Hornet. I say that because there is good image of a 1953 Hudson Hornet on Jay Leno’s Garage website plus another site and you’ll notice a similar pattern of line work in the chrome around the logo.
The artwork is 18 x 24.
